STOLEN 2004 GSX-R600 from Bossier City, LA
Hey guys, I just wanted to put it out there that my friends motorcycle was stolen last night. Another motorcycle that parks near it was also stolen. The bike is a blue and silver 2004 GSX-R600. Distinguishing feature are that the lower fairing is broken, it has a blue micron high mount exhaust, the rear passenger pegs have a deep socket on them to extend them outwards to clear the exhaust, it has a chrome windscreen, and it has aftermarket GSX-R seat covers that fit slightly loose, not tight like OEM. The bike has appox. 26,000 miles on it
The other bike was a newer black and yellow GSX-R with a two brothers exhaust. That's all the info I know about that one as I do not know the owner. If anyone sees my friends bike rolling around, or for sale on CL or something, please contact me and the BCPD!

I'll keep my eyes peeled. Hope they're found before they're parted out.

Honestly we aren't that optimistic about it, but we're hoping for a good ending. He won't be able to afford another one for quite some time, so this is pretty much the end of his riding days for a long time.

Man, thats terrible... and people wonder how lethal force can be justified during a theft... You work your ass off for no telling how long to obtain something you love, and someone comes along and just wants to take it from you...

I'll keep a eye out here in town. Were they secured in any way? I keep my bike outside but due to where I live and how I have it it's basically like Fort Knox. I hope so anyway.

Not sure about the Black and Yellow bike, but my buddies was not because there's nothing to chain it to and he didn't own a disc lock or anything. I used to keep my bike in the driveway, but I've started cramming it in our garage lately even though it's full of cars.

I don't have anything to chain my bike to either but I have a Brinks chain with the fabric stuff on it thats supposed to be cut resistant and I just thread it through my back wheel and through my passenger footpeg mount and lock it with a big ass heavy duty, all weather lock. Besides that I keep my bike covered and where it's at and where I live is kinda hard to find. I've literally told people how to get exactly here from a few blocks away and it still takes them a few tries and me walking outside to find them before they make it here.

Yeah, securing bikes sucks... I run our Tool Room here at work and honestly someone who WANTED to steal a bike could take a pocket full of stuff out of here and it wouldn't matter what your bike was locked up with, they could "unlock" it in less than 5 minutes...

Yeah I know how that is. I work on airplanes and trust me I could probably find a tool for just about anything but I'm betting that most people around here couldn't. Besides I always think the best security is for it to be out of sight out curious eyes as much as possible.
